Karissa Leistico
DirectorShe’s inspiring, ambitious and bubbly! Karissa has danced with the Elk River Just for Kix program since 2000. She also danced for the Elk River Dance Team and performed at the MSHSL State Finals in 2010. Karissa graduated from Southwest Minnesota State University with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology. During college, she coached several dance teams and worked at the Anoka-Ramsey Community College as an Exercise Specialist. After college, Karissa became a Rehabilitation Therapist, Exercise Physiologist and a master in corrective movement. She’s passionate about helping her dancers find the song in their heart and the beat in their feet while properly improving technique - all while having FUN! Karissa makes personal connections with each and every dancer that crosses her path. As your Director, she’ll use innovative ways to improve an already superb program and advance your dancer to their next level!
