This is a Core Kick class for dancers in 6th - 7th grade. Core Kick is the basis of our program. These classes meet 1 hour per week. The primary focus of this class will be precision kick, a very competitive and popular style of dance for High school dance teams. This class will also incorporate ballet, some jazz technique, stretching and strengthening as well.
Hayden Barziza
Head InstructorHayden is a very committed dancer with 13 years of experience, 10 of which have been at Elk River Just for Kix. Her favorite style of dance is lyrical, but she is involved with all 5 programs offered at Elk River! She is in the class of 2026 at Elk River High School and she loves to involve herself in extracurricular activities outside of her schooling and dancing. One such activity is volunteering with a local tutoring program, where she helps children ages 6-11 with their reading comprehension. She also spends her Saturday’s volunteering with an animal shelter where she helps socialize dogs, occasionally takes them home to foster, and helps potential adopters find their perfect fit!
Hope Fonder
Head InstructorHope and her family have been a part of the Elk River Just For Kix family for 19 years, 11 of which Hope has been dancing. If you’ve met Hope you’d know she slays all hip-hop choreography thrown at her but she also competes in all 5 styles of dance offered in Elk River. Her dancing doesn’t stop there. Hope is also a part of the Elk River High School Performance Dance Team. In Hope’s free time, she enjoys hanging out with her friends and family, practicing her dances, and shopping. In school, she enjoys being on the yearbook committee. Hope will graduate in 2028 and dreams of Directing her very own Just For Kix program one day!
