Emmetsburg - IA Just For Kix Director Amie Cilliers is at the top of her game teaching dance classes in Emmetsburg - IA to children, which creates confidence, dance technique, friendship and a whole lot of fun!
This is my first year as a director at Just For Kix. For the last two years, I have been a spectator, watching my granddaughter live her best life! I am excited for this program to grow and become a staple to the community youth. I started dancing in Estherville, IA, at LCD the first year it opened in 1980. My one true love has always been ballet and point, but I also enjoyed jazz and tap. We moved in 1984, where I studied under Ms. Peinik in Chula Vista, CA, until my junior year with the only program, as ballet/pointe. I then join the San Marcos Dance Team until graduation. I took ballet/pointe classes in Des Moines Ia in my twenties. Later in life, I taught yoga and Zumba. Since 2004, I have worked at a manufacturing company in the Iowa Great Lakes. I am also pursuing my master's in psychology. Dance is my life's passion, and I am so excited to share it with the community. I also enjoy photography, outdoor activities, lake life, and crafts. I am blessed to have this opportunity and cannot wait for the memories made with the new and old students as a JFK family. .
As an established youth dance studio, Just For Kix is a leader in dance instruction. We offer proven technical training, a focus on teamwork and a respectful experience to our students. With a strong balance of fun and technique in our classes, we create a teaching environment that is low stress and less pressure. Styles vary from location to location offering everything from: Kick • Jazz • Lyrical • Hip Hop • Ballet • Tap • Pom.
As dancers progress through our studio, they experience the health and fitness benefits of working to build cardiovascular endurance, strength and flexibility, along with the core attributes of confidence, pride and friendship.
