Wee Jazz/Lyrical is a class designed for dancers in 1st-3rd grade who are also currently enrolled in Kick. Dancers will learn 1 jazz dance and 1 lyrical dance during the season. Jazz is upbeat and energetic, focusing fundamental jazz movements, including turns, leaps, and intricate footwork, while learning fun and engaging choreography. Lyrical dance blends elements of ballet and jazz to create expressive, fluid movement that tells a story through music. Dancers will also work on coordination, musicality, and teamwork in a positive and encouraging environment. This class is for beginner-intermediate level dancers. No tryout is required! The class will involve weekly practices, along with a Winter Show in December, 2 Competitions February-April and a Spring Show in May.

DirectorHi! My name is Taylor Elsen and I have been dancing for 12 years. This will be my 7th year assistant coaching and 4th year head coaching with the Farmington/Lakeville Program. I have danced in the styles Jazz, Lyrical, Kick, hip hop and pom with lyrical and pom being my favorite.
