Paynesville - MN Just For Kix Director Jess Karsch is at the top of her game teaching dance classes in Paynesville - MN to children, which creates confidence, dance technique, friendship and a whole lot of fun!
This is Jess’ 18th season as a Just For Kix director; this will be her 17th season directing the Becker Just For Kix program and 18th season directing the Paynesville Just For Kix program. Jess began dancing with the Rice Just For Kix program when she was in kindergarten. She participated in kick, jazz, and every short term special session class that she could! Jess became a Just For Kix assistant at the age of 16 and was head instructing her own classes within the next year. She became the director of the Paynesville Just For Kix program her first year of college and added the Becker program her second year of college. After graduation Jess knew that teaching dance was her calling and chose to make a career out of her passion for teaching the kiddos in the Becker and Paynesville areas! She has received many awards over the years, including: the Double Up Award for doubling her program student count in one season in 2009, the Lowest Non Return Ratio Award for maintaining her program student count in 2009, the TWD Sportsmanship Award for her dancers displaying outstanding sportsmanship at competition in 2019, the Developing Director of the Year Award in 2011, the Director of the Year Award in 2020, and her Becker Sr. Kix team earned the title of AA National Champions in the 2024 Senior Kick Showcase. In addition, Jess has been recognized as a Top 25 Director out of over 200 directors within the company every year since 2010. Jess lives in Sauk Rapids with her husband of 11 years, Emmet. They have five kids - Justin (age 23), Shelby (age 21), Rosalie (age 11), Colin (age 9), and Fiona (age 2)! A note from Jess: "I am so thankful for another year of directing my programs and having the chance to be apart of the lives of so many dancers. I take my role very seriously as I know how special it is to be entrusted with what you love most, your children. It is my goal to teach more than "just dance". In my programs we value each child for who they are and it is our mission to teach solid dance skills and technique while also shaping the whole person, and to do so all while treating our dancers the way we would want our own children to be treated. We offer classes that are technically sound, yet positive and FUN for dancers of all experience levels! THANK YOU for sharing your child with us, we cannot wait to have an amazing dance season!"

Hi everyone! I am Katie! I will be assisting Coach Jess in all pre-k through 7th grade kick classes. This is my second year coaching with Just for Kix! I have been dancing since I was 3. Being an Air Force Brat I have danced with many different studios. I am primarily trained in Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz and Tap. I have also danced Lyrical, Pom, Swing and Broadway. I have taught many styles, taught clinics and choreographed for local plays/musicals since I was 18. My favorite styles are Ballet and Hip Hop, but I enjoy all styles. I live in Paynesville with my husband, Ed and our 6 kids (Lillian, Kylie, Joey, Ben, Lucas and Logan). I am excited to get to know all of you and to have an amazing dance year!
