Rochester - MN Just For Kix Director Bethany Morrisey is at the top of her game teaching dance classes in Rochester - MN to children, which creates confidence, dance technique, friendship and a whole lot of fun!

Bethany Morrisey is the Director of Rochester Just For Kix. She started focusing on dance in High school by dancing for the John Marshall Rockette Dance Team. She graduated from Luther College with degrees in Biology and Psychobiology. During college she danced, choreographed, and served as the captain of the Luther College Dance Team. Returning to her hometown of Rochester in 2003, Bethany was the Varsity Coach for the John Marshall Competitive Dance Team for 8 years. She coached the Mayo Fall Performance team in 2006. While coaching she served on the Minnesota Association of Dance Teams (MADT) Board of Directors for 4 years. In her last two years she served as the Vice President and All State Dance Team Performance Chair. Bethany started with Just For Kix as a Head Instructor for one season in Decorah, IA while attending college. She served as a judge for Just For Kix TWD competitions for 8 years and as JFK Camp Staff for 3 years. She has also attended and worked the Outback Bowl Tour in Tampa, Florida for 4 years. Through Just For Kix, Bethany has received the Student Increase Award seven times, the Highest Student Count Award, the Team Player Award twice, the Getting Noticed Award twice and the Raising the Barre Award four times. In 2016, Bethany received the Developing Director of the Year award. Bethany also received the 2020 Director of the Year award for the JFK company. Most recently Bethany received the 2025 AAAA Coach of the Year award in High Kick. The Rochester program has been recognized as a Top 25 program the last ten years with 2024 and 2025 at #1 in the company. In 2018, 2019, and 2020 the Rochester JFK Dance Studio was recognized as the Best of the Best by Rochester Post Bulletin. The Rochester program also received the Most Spirited Program award in 2025. Bethany loves to spend time with her family (Husband -Adam, Kiddos - Lillian, Addison, and Vincent, and Crazy Dog - Zelda) and drink coffee! Bethany is in her 15th season as the Director and is looking forward to UNLOCKING the POTENTIAL of all her dancers! We would love for you to join us this season!

Porsha danced with Just For Kix for 11 years and has served on our JFK staff for 9 years as an assistant, solo choreographer, and Head Instructor. She was a member of the Dover-Eyota competitive dance team for 4 years. During her time as a Dance Team athlete, she served as a captain for two years, earned All Conference, and was selected for the 2018 and 2019 MN All State Jazz Team. Her favorite style of dance is Hip Hop. Porsha looks forward to challenging her dancers with their performance and style! Porsha is in her 8th season as a Head Instructor and 3rd season as studio administration.

Drew was born and raised in Rochester, Minnesota. She started dancing when she was three years old at Dance Connection, where she trained in ballet, tap, and jazz. In 3rd grade, she began dancing competitively at Janet Lang Dance Studio and continued to train in those styles while adding hip hop, lyrical, and contemporary. In 2018, she joined Just For Kix Rochester to continue her competitive journey. The following year, she became a member of the Mayo High School Dance Team, where she competed for three seasons, earned two varsity letters. In 2021, she was named national champion for her hip hop solo. Drew has earned Rising Star and MOD award at JFK camp over the years. She is currently on the Mayo Fall Dance Team and will serve as captain for the upcoming season. She started assistant coaching at Rochester Just For Kix in 2022 and is heading into her fourth season. She’s also been an SDS choreographer for three seasons. Drew is excited to continue growing her love for dance as she steps into her first season as Head Instructor for JFK Rochester!
